Hello from Lightside,

Just when you may have thought that the entire photographic industry has turned digital, Lightside is quite happy to announce that we have produced not one but two conventional black + white exhibitions in as many months!

And, it warms my heart to point out that both of these young artists are still shooting FILM no less ... impressive, right?

September 19  - October 20, 2007

For his untitled exhibition at Higher Pictures Gallery in New York City, the New York based Serbian photographer Boogie (aka Vladimir Milivojevich) presented over 20 images from his various portfolios. The wide ranging mix included photographs from Barcelona, Caracas, Brooklyn, Sao Paulo, Belgrade, and beyond ... Lightside provided 11 x 14, 16 x 20, and 20 x 24 hand printed archival black + white fiber based gelatin silver prints from original 35mm negatives.

Lightside has also worked with Boogie on exhibitions for galleries in France and Japan. His work can be seen in the 2006 powerHouse Books publication "It's All Good" and coming in Spring 2008, the Upper Playground publication "Sao Paulo".

Shahrzad Kamel photographed extensively throughout Afghanistan and her native Iran for her solo exhibition "Journeys" at The Southeast Museum of Photography. Lightside provided (17) 16 x 20 hand printed archival black + white fiber based silver gelatin prints from her original 35 mm and 120 negatives.
